Utah Parking Authority offers Utah private property owners the first and only professional digital parking permit software system, complete with integrated license plate recognition enforcement technology. This proprietary system manages the full life cycle of parking permit, from application to renewal. Features include an easy to use resident dashboard and app, property manager back-office reporting, enforcement integration, and more.

YOU MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR A 1 YEAR TRIAL PERIOD
*For a limited time, Utah Parking Authority (UPA) is offering multi-unit housing and HOA clients a free 1 year digital parking permit trial period. UPA clients must also be enrolled in patrol status with our Parking Enforcement Division. UPA utilizes state-of-the-art parking compliance vehicles, equipped with License Plate Recognition (LPR) cameras, as well as best in class repossession tow trucks. LPR cameras send reads through our proprietary software to authorize real time parking permissions. Parking may be enforced by SmartBoot® and/or VIP Towing. Following the trial period, resident and visitor motorists will be charged a nominal one-time service fee that contributes to operational costs such as account administration, customer support, record-keeping, and ongoing technology infrastructure.

HOW CAN I GET MY PROPERTY SIGNED UP TO OFFER DIGITAL PERMITS?

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR A RESIDENT PERMIT ACCOUNT?
Please download our exclusive permit APP, ParkUT, or go to utahparkpass.com and click on the sign-up button. You will be required to know your address and upload a current copy of your residential lease agreement and driver's license.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR MY PERMIT TO GET APPROVED?
The property management for your account is required to verify and approve each parking application based on previous reservations. This may take several days, we appreciate your patience.
I CAN'T FIND MY ADDRESS IN THE SYSTEM.
Please reach out to our Help Center to ensure accuracy with your address. The address on your residential contract may not coincide with your parking permit account.
HOW DOES PARKING ENFORCEMENT WORK WITH A DIGITAL PERMIT?

WHAT IS THE SERVICE FEE FOR?
There is a one-time service fee of $9.99 for every digital parking permit registered through our exclusive app and permit web portal. The permit account service fee helps cover the costs associated with managing and maintaining a permit holder’s account.
This fee contributes to various operational activities such as account administration, customer support, record-keeping, and ongoing technology infrastructure. It ensures that the permit account holder receives a range of services and support to effectively manage their parking affairs.
