Private Property Impounding Service
Towing services are provided to the property owner free of charge. Towing fees are paid by the motorist found to be in violation of the posted parking rules. Patrol and Call-in Services available.

*Abandoned vehicles may require a property owner to pay a disposal fee to help UPA cover the fees incurred during the 90-120 day storage and filing process. This fee will be refunded to the property owner, should the vehicle owner pay to release the vehicle from impound. Motorist that abandon vehicles on private property are responsible for all towing, storage, filing, and disposal fees incurred and are subject to collections.

Can a car be towed from my private parking lot without signs?
For private property without signage, the property owner may request a tow truck motor carrier to remove a vehicle from the private property 24 hours after the property owner or the property owner’s agent affixes a written notice to the vehicle.
Please download the towing notice, tape notice to the driver's side window, and send photos of the vehicle parked in violation with the notice affixed to the window to UPA's Help Center.
The towing process
1. Vehicle is determined to be in violation of the posted private property parking rules.
2. Vehicle is filmed for evidence of the parking violation and pre-existing damage.
3. Vehicle is mechanically connected to the tow truck and removed from the private stall.
4. Vehicle is reported to the local police agency and inputted into the state database, Impound Vehicle Service (IVS).
5. Vehicle is transported to a secure state impound yard and stored.
